After high school , being a science student , I have seen a lot of friends and others going for engineering and medical courses which they had no interest in. I asked them whether they were sure that they were doing the right thing ?
They said they weren’t sure, but they were doing it cause their parents asked them to. I have no disrespect for them but what is the point of doing such courses when they had to struggle to pass the science stream?

After 3 or 4 semester when I see them, I saw disappointment in their eyes and pain in their hearts
They would have been the future movie makers ,writers or somebody great.
Their nerd cousin, neighbour or dad was able to doesn’t mean you can or you should. You aren’t like them.
I’m happy for people are changing now, but still we have a long way to go. Make sure we don’t make a life of disappointment and pain, but a life with happiness and memories.
Yes, there are people who chose medicine or engineering because they loved it. I’m writing this for the ones who didn’t have the courage to speak up about their likes and dreams
