This incident shows how teenagers are day by day getting trapped in the web of crime ,it urges us to look into the increasing crime rate among juveniles.
As per the data by NCRB between 2010-2014 there had been 47% increment of crime among juveniles making us to think that the hands which should utilize the power of pen are indulging in serious crimes.
The NCRB data states that in 2014, 5.4% rapes out of 36,735 cases are committed by juveniles,it also shows that between 2010-2014 , 55.6% juveniles arrested were from families with annual income less than 25,000 indicating not only towards the importance but also on the plight of education system of our country .21.8% arrested juveniles are those who never went to school.
Under current law of the country maximum punishment for juveniles is 3 years ,though the new juvenile bill has introduced certain strict norms but even after getting clearance from lok sabha as well as Rajya Sabha its still in the process of becoming an ACT.
Finally it is the duty of parents and education system to guide children towards correct direction at such sensitive age since the future of country lies in their hands.
