Uttar Pradesh is the most populated state of India. Fourth largest by Area. Development and progress of UP is the development and progress of India. The seat allotment for Assembly and Lok Sabha elections is also high here. Nor Politicians nor Economists nor Businessmen can ignore UP but still the state is considered the most backward state of India. Why? Because in UP, votes are sold in the name of castes/religions and not on agendas. For India to become an economic power, UP has to contribute in Per capita numbers and a strong flow of goods and services.
Farmer suicides, no proper electricity for small industries ( including handicrafts), Villages still live in dark (though they now run on generators and invertors), service industry fears to setup their enterprises because of the crime, Girl education all time low, no proper law and order in place, etc.
Even if little importance is given to these matters, no doubt that UP will lead India in almost all sectors.
Politics is not bad, politicians are. It is politics that shapes a country for good or bad because the persons whom we elect make laws and regulate them. We have to choose them wisely and after proper background check & study. One more reason as to why corrupt and unfit politicians win is because of the low voter turnout.
The people of UP and whole of India should move beyond the mindset of caste/religion and elect a politician on the basis of agendas. United we stand, Divided we fall.
