Fight!

My name is Sohan Prasad. I am 18 years old and I am a college goer.

Well to start with, I wanted to pursue fashion as my career. It has always been my dream to be honest.

My parents have always treated me like a prince. Whatever I have ever touched belonged to me .

Doesn’t it seem very interested and fancy? Well it isn’t like this.

My father is a successful electrical engineer. He wants a settled and secured future for me.

Till now… It still sounds good, right?

He wants me to be an electrical engineer as well.  On the other hand I have no interest in it. I can’t loathe anything more than this. It isn’t that I have never tried. I did. But I can’t help myself in liking it. Days past by and I started suffocating. I am begging for life. My parents with their Orthodox mentality cannot see me dying.

Situations are worsening every day. Isn’t natural? Depression and tension of passing in my semester papers drive me crazy. Nights are sleepless.

But my parents seem very Stern. Can’t they see this pain of mine?

I don’t know about what is going to happen to me. But I have not given up. It’s a regular scenario in my house where I try explaining them. Sometimes it turns to heated arguments as well.

But nothing stops me. I will keep trying till my heart pumps blood.

I want every single teenager to dream, fight and conquer. Don’t give in easily. If you do, it might help you to gain momentary satisfaction. Think big. What about the rest of your life? Will you be able to cope up with decisions imposed forcefully on you?

All of this doesn’t imply that you don’t listen to your parent’s advice. But don’t let them or anyone pressurize you for anything.
