UP election : An UP from caste and creed.

Modi’s statement of “kabristan”  which shifts voters attention towards religion politics from developmental politics. But, unlike that results reflects that incorrect. As said by union minister Dr. Jitendra “Indian voter  has risen above caste, creed, religion and region, for the first time in the 70 years’ history of Indian democracy”. BJP which won with thumping majority without fielding a single muslim candidate in state which have 19% muslim voters is epitome of that.BJP had clearly  broken out of its Brahman- Bania and urban- centric party image. BSP which hit worst after party formation failed to read voters mind. BSP fielded 105 muslim candidate  to lure muslim voters , won only 5 out of these 105. BSP also failed among it’s core dalit voters , it’s two win out of 84 reserved seats for dalits raised the eye brow of every political pundit. Ditto, In case of Samajwadi party who had to face defeat in Etwah , Badaun and Etah. Party won mere 2 seats out of 13 in these region. Congress which reduced to 7 seats with mere 6.2% vote had to face defeat in its citadel : Amethi and Rae bareli. Party’s alliance with SP to consolidate muslim vote bank by sliding off Brahman face was an ill- planned. Ajeet Singh’s party RLD didn’t win a single seat . It’s performance remains poor in Jat dominant  assemblies like Mathura and Baghpat which have 40%  and 30% Jat votes . BJP also  had to face this reverse wave in Kairana where they raised the issue of Hindu exodus. Their candidate Mrigank singh faced deafet with margin of 21,000 votes in Kairana. Parties need to reconsider their strategy of communal politics . This election gave a strong message to all parties that voters are no more get trapped in religion or caste bait.
