Wild City continues pushing forward with international event series – Various Artists.

For the 12th in the series, following ‘Space Dimension Controller’, ‘Palms Trax’, ‘Flako’, ‘Roska’, ‘Slugabed’, ‘Nic Tasker’, ‘Sarah Farina’, ‘Tommy Flowers’, ‘Milo Häfliger’, ‘Ikonika’ & ‘Scratcha DVA’, we’re bringing incredibly diverse producer and Hyperdub signee, Addison Groove.
We’ve titled the series ‘Various Artists’ because it won’t be confining itself to the restraints of genre – this series could feature dark, dubby producers one week, experimental live electronica the next and pure disco the week after. The aim is to stay current and informed about the international scene’s most forward thinking producers, and of course, to listen to some good music.

The incredibly diverse producer and Hyperdub signee will be touring India for the second time after already playing at VH1 Supersonic back in 2015. Promising a hot, dark and sweaty vibe in New Delhi, we’ll be hosting this at Def Col Social on 23 March, before heading to Church Street Social in Bangalore on 24 March, followed by a very special gig in partnership with KRUNK at Mumbai’s Summer House Cafe on 25 March.

Addison Groove first started recording under the name Headhunter. Following a string of well received 12” releases and a LP, he quickly achieved recognition and prominence within the UK bass and dubstep circuit. His work set to continue on an unstoppable trajectory until, in 2010, he released his monstrous track, ‘Footcrab’ under the new name of Addison Groove.

Still a regular on dancefloors across the world,
‘Footcrab’ gained Groove critical and commercial success across the dance music space. Giants such as Aphex Twin, Surgeon, Richardo Villalobos and Mr Scruff starting including it in their sets whilst DJ Rashad dropped a remix. He’s since developed a live 808 show and has performed at clubs and festivals across the world.

Armed with an extensive back-catalogue – Addison Groove is now a renowned figure in the game and one we’re very excited to add to our ‘Various Artists’ series. You can check out his SoundCloud page for more music and stay up-to-date on his movements through Facebook. Watch the incredible video for his latest release ‘Changa’ below.
