India is a very big country with eclectic diversity and huge population. India has incredible history where many philosophers, local communities and social activists played vital role in the development of country. Without existence of NGOs and Social Activists, Indian govt alone cannot tackle the very important and critical issues of society e.g. education, women empowerment, human rights, child/elder welfare, health/family welfare etc. NGO and Social activist play very significant role in welfare of society as a whole.
But irony with India is that this vital organ of society is not structured enough to contribute systematically for the growth of country. There is great need to introduce a thread to unite this very important energy for the development of country.
We have recently observed some web portals which are actively involved in social awareness about the activities performed by NGOs and Social Activists. One of the portal which recently came to our knowledge is www.freeofme.com which is having more than 75,000 NGOs and Social activists registered with it. There some other portal as well which are actively contributing for social cause !
This is the time when we need to start supporting all organisations and people who are working for social cause. By this we will be able to serve our country and community.
