Major General Mohd Amin Naik started his career with a passion for sports, mountaineering and engineering, having performed excellently in every task at hand and undertaking efforts to build a better and a stronger India.
From winning an Asian Games bronze medal to successfully leading the Nanda Devi Ecological Mountaineering Expedition, from setting up the Army Sports Institute from scratch to nation building services in the Corps of Engineers, General Amin has excelled over and over again as a soldier. His efforts in creating job prospects in Kashmir to fight militancy, being the chairman of a girls’ school, and inspiring Kashmiri youths to join the Indian Army are exemplary. General Amin shows how one can achieve excellence if they are committed to their goal.
