Amole Gupte to address city’s young poets

Filmmaker and actor Amole Gupte will be taking time out to encourage young writers, comedians and poets.

While a number of open mike platforms in the city have given poets a platform to showcase their talent to their peers, social media consultant Karina Pandya is going to conduct ‘Limits Make Things Too Small’ to give the scene a dramatic face-lift.

To do this, she has roped in David Sassoon Library & Reading Room to host an event that will not only have poets like Aranya Johar whose poem on gender has found crores of views, it will also have talks by celebrated veterans.

Besides Amole Gupte, there will be film columnist and author Mayank Shekhar a poetess Menka Shivdasani who will share their tips with poets.

What also makes Limits Make Things Too Small even more special is that almost all of the city’s youth poets who have caught attention are going to read their work – Aranya Johar, Hussain Haidry, Ramneek Singh, Sudeep Pagedar. Filmmaker Anjali Bhushan Nugyal will also read some Hindustani poetry.

This is surely the place to instill your faith in the capabilities of today’s potential for inspiring poetry.
