Change v/s Ambition : What makes us happy?

Stop searching for your passion | Terri Trespicio | TEDxKC

A few days back I was hooked on to a video by Terri Trespicio- “Stop Searching For Your Passion” It made me think about a common uncommon human tendency – Change

Change for me presently is everything – new place, job, people, food and what not

Change makes you miserable, makes you see things you never wanted to see – your fears

As ironic as it sounds, it sometimes also provides you relief, when it pushes you out from your current exasperating setup or an escape from your monotony. Sleepless nights, overthinking and a lot of introspection, takes you through a tunnel of your pent up questions, secrets & frustrations. So before you start complaining more about change, try to imagine what all it can do to you.

Hopping  from one change to another forced me to ask a question to myself – Why am I doing this? What is my PASSION in life? To all those who are still trying to discover their passion – Terri Trespicio just nails it – “You dont create your life first and then live it, you create it by living it, not agonizing about it, passion is not a job, a sport or a hobby. It is the full force of your attention and energy that you give to whatever is right in front of you. And if you’re so busy looking for this passion, you could miss opportunities that change your life.

So instead of waiting for the perfect job or the perfect moment to come – The AHA Moment which generally happens in movies because its just 2 hours of a character’s whole life, hopping seems to be the best way out

Lesson Learnt: Doing anything and everything is just fine, you don’t necessarily need to chart out a definite career graph and run after it but just dont stop.
