Muslims are in majority in some of the states and districts in India. Muslims even otherwise also exceed 18 % of its population. Therefore they need not be given a minority status as they are 2nd major community in India. Accordingly , the benefits , this 2nd major community enjoys need to be withdrawm. Minorities in India are christians, baudhs etc. but not the muslims.

In states like kashmir, Nagaland etc. the benefits of minority has not been extended to Hindus which is unfair and unjustified.
