I will not watch More of Dhinchak Pooja

Last month, A friend of mine tagged me in a video. At first I was laughing heartily at it. This video was none other than Dhinchak Pooja’s “Selfie Maine Le Liya”. The song went viral on YouTube and got more than 16 million views.

At first I was surprised that she was amassing so many views. The fact that she was 5000+ plus subscribers each day was equally shocking. Not just the selfie song, her other songs such as Daaru and Swag Wali topi also gained more than 3 million views.

By the ordinary YouTuber salary, there is no doubt that she was paid more than 2.4 lakhs for her latest video. At present she has over a 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. She’s doing interviews with channels like India TV and other national dailies. At this point, you might be wondering how this talentless singer got that much publicity and wondering who’s responsible in making her a sensation, it is every one of us.

We’ve shared her videos, we’ve followed her on various social media sites and unknowingly we are giving her the fame that she does not deserve. Arguably the success of someone like her is a failure on our part.

With so much of following, she’s gonna be putting up songs each worse than the other and just because we are curious to see how bad it is, we are giving her undeserved attention

So please guys stop watching her videos! She just released her new song and last I checked, she had almost 31,000 views in just an hour. Stop watching, unfollow her on all social media platforms and turn your focus on to the real artists, the one’s who are making genuinely good music
