Questions every girl has asked herself atleast once

Why am I known for the scent of my body,
Instead of the essence of my soul?
Why am I known for having beautiful eyes,
Instead of the secrets they hold?

Why do they want to kiss my lips,
Without knowing my fears?
Why do they want to hold my hips,
Before asking me about the things I hold dear?

Why am I judged by the length of my dress,
And not the size of my heart?
How is it, that people notice even the slightest change in my figure,
But do not understand the message in my art?

How is it that they compliment my smile,
Without looking at the pain it hides?
Why is it that all they care about is beauty,
When I have a mind, just as bright?

They scan me to pinpoint my flaws,
They can do it all day long.
But tell me, why do they look at me this way?
When i just want to be called by my name.
