Once upon a time, internet was full of amazing people doing amazing things. Beautiful videos of babies laughing, dogs meeting their owners after a long time, soldiers coming home, all those important videos giving out countless reasons to feel good etc. These days, the internet is all about idiots making stupid viral videos and the worst thing is that people are actually liking them. I’ll run out of space if I start mentioning every idiot out there on the internet making it big. This article may seem highly opinionated but it’s something very important. I’d be talking about some of the most ridiculous internet celebrities and why they shouldn’t be famous.
One of them is the “Cash me ousside, how bow dah?” girl who sprung to global attention at the age of 14 for appearing on DR PHIL show for her unruly behaviour towards everyone and stealing her mother’s credit cards. She’s a loud and rude teenager who dropped out of school in 7th grade, and is known for causing menace, fighting, cussing as well as got caught with marijuana in her possession. Suddenly her statement “Cash me ousside, how bow dah?” got famous all over the internet and her popularity increased multifolds. She quickly got millions of followers on Instagram and teenagers started looking upto her as their idol. This undeserving teenager, uptill now, has managed to get a following of approximately 10.4 million followers on Instagram, bought a Porche and get thousands of dollars to make appearance at different events. Millions of talented people out there struggling to get noticed, and who got famous? A girl who dropped out of school, smokes pot and screams. Hmm.
Now that we’re talking about idiots, how can I not mention our one and only Dhinchak Pooja. This girl proved that you don’t need to be a professional singer to stand out. Just make a trashy video and boom, you’re famous. Her first song that was uploaded on YouTube was the supremely hideous song, daru daru daru. Everything about that song is cringeworthy, starting from the beats to dance moves as well as her voice. Then came her big break with her super hit song ‘selfie maine leli aj’. This ridiculous song got a whopping 17 MILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE AND HER SUBSCRIBERS WENT ON FROM 6K TO 107K. Hmm.
Sudden rise of these idiots has started this trend among people these days, where they do weird antics to gain publicity. It goes from making weird songs to behaving in a retarded manner like Nouman Khan ‘ THE LEGEND’, or making nuisance like Badbhabie. People go on to share such videos and following these creeps on social media, helping them in expanding their reach. People forget that no matter how much they hate on these so called celebrities, they’re anyways contributing to their fame. These internet idiots are taking an advantage of human curiousity to create these super eerie videos so as to gain quick fame.
The more you share their videos and comment on them, the more views and subs they get. They’re cashing off this stupidity and you’re letting them do it. The best thing to do is not to get bothered with their antics and ignore them as much as we can. The best we can do is stopping with sharing their videos, subscribing to them, liking their videos etc. It’s hard to believe but Dhinchak Pooja actually cashed in 12-15 lakh rupees through her song selfie maine leli aaj. Support people with talent and not these worthless losers, else they’ll be cashing outside jus like dah.
So do yourself a favour, share something better. Spread nice videos instead of some demented people doing dumb things. Thankyou have a nice day mere dillo ke shooters.
