When I got to know about the term ‘ ghost writer’, I was really scared.

When I was a teenager, I thought content writing would be so cool for me. Sitting on the laptop the whole day and writing for money.  Wow!!  That was my dream job.  I wanted to write stuff and work for some big company.  I wanted to be a good content writer and earn money while sitting at home. The main work of a content writer is to write articles for the various companies and earn money out of it.

As a writer, I am not only interested in money, I also wish for recognition and fame through my writings. My writings are not just a piece of work but a mirror to my heart and soul.  I was not interested in this kind of content writing where my article wasn’t published by my name.

I am a girl with cerebral palsy and I love to write, I write my articles on my laptop, that has to be kept on the sofa and on a particular level, only then I can type. In the middle of all these situations, I have been able to develop myself as a writer. There’s one drawback to me, that I can’t write for money, not at the cost of losing my identety.

Why does a writer, writes a piece in the first place?. For me, it’s because I want to keep my views on a particular subject, to the audience. On the end of the day, I write my article to express my feeling.

I had a chance to become a ghost writer, lately, and it wasn’t a good feeling. I felt as if someone was stealing away my thoughts and ideas. I wrote my feelings and gave my heart to these articles. Here, it becomes complicated, when you give your best to an article, you don’t want to part with them at so low cost. You would want your articles to be published by your name.

If you knew Hamlet is just a play written by an anonymous writer, would you ever read it?. People love to read this particular, play just because they knew, who Shakespeare was. People know about the time period, in which it was written, people love an art and then loves the artist. That why I think that the concept of a ghost writer, can help the writer financially but not satisfy him morally.

As I always say, money can never buy your talent. I didn’t really wanted my articles to be published anonymously. I want the authority over my own articles. Is it too much to ask by a content writer? A simple authority over the writer’s own article?
