Berlin Syndrome uncut Trailer – chilling!

Receiving rave reviews at its world premiere at Sundance Film festival and critics across Australia and North America, Berlin Syndrome starring Teresa Palmer (Lights Out & Hacksaw Ridge) and Max Reimelt (Sense8) is now ready to be revealed to Indian audience on July 28.

Inspired by the psychological term “Stockholm Syndrome”, a condition that causes hostages to develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during captivity, Berlin Syndrome is the story of a young photojournalist, who in her quest to reinvent herself, travels to Berlin where she encounters Andi, a charming high school teacher – romance ensues, and after a passionate night, next morning brings with it the realisation that she is locked in the house and cannot leave. An easy mistake to make, of course, except Andi has no intention of letting her go again. Ever!

Based on Melanie Joosten’s book of the same name, the film was adapted for screens by Shaun Grant, and directed by internationally acclaimed Cate Shortland, reknowned for her work in “Lore”, “SomerSault”, “The Secret Life of US” and “The Silence”. Critics reviewed Berlin Syndrome as  “A thoughtful chamber piece and great white knuckle thriller, Berlin Syndrome confirms Cate Shortland as a distinctive, cherishable talent in her most accessible movie to date. ”

A definite paisa vasool, Berlin Syndrome is a must watch for thrill mongers!
