Born Black

It’s your fault you’re born black.

You could have been better than this.

But nothing could change your fate,

It’s your fault you’re born back.

Your God never loved you,

Your countrymen never trusted you,

You were born to be suppressed,

It’s your fault you’re born black.

You thought black’s a good colour,

Poor you! It’s the colour of their shoes!

Whenever they’ll see you,

They’ll always try to whoosh.

It’s your fault you’re born black.

And one day, they’ll stop hurting you,

Because you’ll be dead.

Some people will even start loving you,

Who used to call you black.

But in their hearts, they will still chant the same words –

It’s your fault you’re born black.
