If you look through the Jumla of doubling farmer’s income by 2022, you’ll find:
1. Not only is the target rhetorical, but a pathetic outright lie as well.
2. Between 2002-03 and 2012-13 Average monthly income per farmer went up from Rs 2,115 to Rs 6,426 — incomes have actually tripled in the10-year period.(# rural income survey)
3. Just like tripling farmer’s income over 10 years, didn’t contribute any significance in betterment of farmers lives, doubling in next 5 years, won’t either, even though it seems impossible to be achieved under the current regime.
4. More importantly, doubling Farmer’s income by 2022, is not realistic, seems unachievable under Jumlaybazi, coz it’d need a 14 per cent agricultural income growth rate for the next five years.(while 2015-16 agricultural growth number was just 1.2 percent)
