Water levels rising in parts of Imphal; Affected areas remain neglected

As the monsoon season begins harshly in different parts of India, Imphal (State capital of Manipur) and its adjoining places remain reeling under water already for the past one week as there is no proper drainage system, but it still remains neglected from the state government.

The most affected areas in this region are RIMS Nurses Quarter & Doctors Quarter, Game Village, & CP Quarter. People from this areas has already shifted to a safer place, till the filing of this report more people are still leaving their homes.

Water levels have increased its height from knee to chest, the situation in this areas is deteriorating and getting worse. The people are crying for help, but the government remains silent at this hour.

These areas falls under the Constituency of Yumnam Joykumar Singh, the Deputy CM of Manipur.
