Celebrate the Freedom with “Tirange Wala Paudha”

What does Independence Day mean to all of us today? We remember our freedom fighters, share some messages, and then crib about how India is still not the nation of our dreams. To some another set of people, it is not more than a national holiday with sprawling sales and a getaway. Some other might go to clap hands at the performance of kids dancing to Vande Matram.

Why not plant a life this Independence Day? Agreed, that we cannot contribute directly to the system of change all the time, but we can plant trees to bring a change in the air we breathe, to bring a change in the air our kids will breathe, to bring a change in the air our nation will breathe.

Professional men and women of India, who know the importance of proper roads, means of transport, infrastructure and clothing, realize the importance of planting trees in our toxic neighborhood as well; realize how much the presence of concrete, unhygienic jungle around us affect our physical and mental health, and that we have the power to do something about it. The cool air of air conditioners will not keep us away from diabetes or asthma, and we just cannot always avoid stepping out in the open.

So let’s go out this August 15th, with a pot and a sapling and plant a life. And take up the responsibility to water it regularly. Let’s do it for ourselves, let’s do it for our country. Plant one, save hundred.

Collecting all the issues together, Plant Eco Circle and Skill Mind Foundation has launched a campaign named “Tiranga Wala Paudha”. As the name suggests, the campaign is all about planting a tree as the country hosts the Flag of Pride. This will not take much of our time, but it will definitely take some pollution away in the future years.

Our freedom fighters gave us freedom. Let’s now give our future generation some fresh air to breathe in this free country.
