Issues touched in today’s mann ki baat hosted by pM modi

Today at 11 a.m.(IST) PM Modi address the nation in 35th episode of a radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ hosted by him.

In this episode he talks about the current violent situation pertaining in the country,diversity of nation,festivals,environment,communal harmony,physical and mental fitness of youth,teacher’s day,jan-dhan yojna etc.

He started the episode with condemning the ongoing unrest in some part of the country and went on to say that “There will be no tolerance on violence committed in the name of faith.”He further added “India is the land of Mahatma Gandhi,Ambedkar and Lord Buddha.Violence is not acceptable in this nation,in any form.Those who take law in their hands will not be spared,whoever they are.”

He then say that”India is a land of diversity where every day of the year various festivals are celebrated which are connected to Mother nature somehow”.He says”Micchami Dukkadam” which means values of forgiveness and compassion.He then talks about ‘Onam’ a festival in Kerala and congratulate the people for Eid-Ul-Zuha.He also remembers Bal GangaDhar Tilak for reviving the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi and express his happiness that festivals like Ganesh Utsav are being celebrated with a concern of the environment.He also urges media houses to guide people to use eco-friendly Ganesh Ji.

He then talks about the cleanliness and said,”There is 67% increase in toilet from 39%.Nearly 2 lakhs village are now open defecation free.”He also gives an example of communal harmony by mentioning the work of the volunteers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind in cleaning 22 temples and 3 masques which were affected by the flood in Gujarat’s Dhanera.He  gives a slogan “Swachhata Hi Sewa”,He urges to all NGO’s,schools,colleges,collectorate,sarpanch to strive for cleanliness  15 days before the 2nd October and give tribute to ‘Baapu’ on his Birth Day.

PM Modi then greets sports enthusiasts and remembers Major Dhyanchand on his Birth Day 29th August and calls for increased participation in sporting activities by youth in order to attain physical fitness,mental alertness and personality enhancement.

He then talks about the daughters of India who will set sail across the world on INSV Tarini.He also urges to people of the nation to wish them good luck on Narendra Modi app and ensure that they will also share their  experiences on this app.

PM Modi then talks about the Teacher’s Day and remembers former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and gives a ‘mantra’ “Teach to Transform”,”Educate to  Empower” and “Learn to Lead”.He further added that we all should contribute for the “Country to Transform”.

Lastly PM Modi talks about the ‘financial inclusion’,in which he mentions about the rapid surge in ‘Jan  Dhan’ accounts.Modi said”There are 30 Cr. Jan Dhan a/c by which the last man of the society now feels that he is a part of the economy and he is thinking about saving the money by putting in the a/c which later can be used on his children or in an emergency,a/c  holders  now have a Rupay card which gives him a feeling that he also can compete with the wealthy man.

PM then talks about the various schemes of his government like “PM Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna”,”PM Suraksha Jeevan Beema Yojna”,”Mudra Yojna”,”Start UP”,”Stand UP”.Modi talks about the survey  conducted by various banks in which they found that millions benefited by these schemes and PM Modi also ask the banks to upload the information of the people who were benefited by these schemes on MyGov.in so that media houses in the country can look up to the people and interview them so that more awareness spreads about the various schemes of the government.
