Letter from a proud indian Muslim

DELHI, INDIA - OCTOBER 27: Children look towards the sound of ceremonial blast ahead of prayer time on as Indian Muslims gather for Eid al-Adha prayers at Jama Masjid on October 27, 2012 in New Delhi, India. Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, commemorates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God, who in accordance with tradition then provided a lamb in the boy's place. The creator of our ‘National anthem’ #RabindraNathTagore said,
“Patriotism cannot be our final spiritual shelter; my refuge is humanity. I will not buy glass for the price of diamonds, and I will never allow patriotism to triumph over humanity as long as I live”

Now almost 106 years later,’the self defined nationalists’ has taken 28 lives and injured almost 124 people. It is also worth noticing that the murder in the name of ‘nationalism and cow protection’ were mostly based on rumours and not based on any evidence.I wonder if the ‘so called nationalist’ read about RabindraNath Tagore, they can even tag him ‘anti national’??

We voted for “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikaas” not for Beef Vigilantism,Love Jihad And Beating in the name of not chanting “Bharat Mata etc”. We hope you are listening.

Why is India losing its secular soul?
We all belong to one human race.Let that be our religion.
Even Our Constitution says ‘We’ – WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN, SOCIALIST, SECULAR, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens.❤
