I believe, linking Adhaar card or the UID number to the available database of voter identity cards will help eradicating Duplicate voter or fake voters. As UID is an unique number and maintained by a central database and is believed to be less prone to data leak, linking the UID to voter identity database will remove chances of duplicate in the voter identity and fake voters from the election process. Duplicate voting and fake voting has been reported many times and is a serious issue for the transparent elections in India. Hence, linking UID to election ID can help getting rid of it.
