Pitrachaya – is a humble initiative started by a Delhi based architect & designer Mr. Chirag Bhatia. Chirag initiated this noble cause with a vision offering help to the unfortunate section of our society.
This humble initiative was started in the year 2016 with an aim of providing a helping hand to the families who have lost the male member / only earning member in misfortunate circumstances. These families have either no or very low source of income. The women of the house has the total financial responsibility of the house as well as the responsibility of taking care of the children in the family.
Under such extreme poor financial conditions often the children are forced to leave their education due to lack of money or proper guidance.
Members of Pirtachaya family fulfils basic food requirements of these families in terms of supplying of monthly ration which includes staples like Daal, Rice, Vegetables, Sugar, Oil and Goodies for the children.
The motive behind all this is to offer an incentive to the children of the families to continue with their education. A proper check is kept on the education progress of the children. The children are required to report to the Pitrachaya with their report cards & mark sheets after every cycle of tests and exams.
Fluffing of food requirements lightens the burden of maintaining the basic living requirements from the earring member and the money saved by the families are spend on the education of the children.
Until now five families have been associated with Pitrachaya and have been receiving monthly ration from it’s members. Pitrachaya plans to expand it’s network of both the families and also willing donors who would like to participate in the noble cause.
