The drainage systems are a mess and the dam surrounding Howrah has evidently and allegedly leaked stagnant water in many places.
I was unaware of the circumstances until i stepped out to take a glimpse and survey the scenario with my own sight.
Water is high above the danger mark and villages and slums near the banks are completely submerged.Power supply has been cut off in many places to prevent electrocuting.But the crisis is not being highlighted in mainstream media probably due to the reason that centre of chaos is a North Eastern city or may be because we contribute so less to the Lok Sabha.Well nonetheless let’s pray and hope we overcome this by God’s grace .No offence or personal grievance against anyone, just upholding my view and doing my bit for my hometown.
