Millennials feel passionately about issues related to education, poverty, pollution, technology, safety, health and freedom of expression. Currently, political parties campaign against each other using religion and casteism, remaining ambiguous on their plans for contributing to India’s quantitative and qualitative growth.
To engage them, a simple app should be set up by the Election Commission which encompasses the following:
List all information useful for first-time voters on the “how and where” using location-enabled settings. Include Checklists and reminders.
Collect policies on key development areas (as listed above) from all political parties running for office and collate them in a tabular format which is easy to read and interpret
Link to twitter where users can pick leaders to follow
Create a community section where voters can connect with each other. Coffee houses, universities, restaurants and bars choosing to have special offers/events for inked voters can be featured here.
