The ultimate aim of CIT educational institution is to provide live skill sets for the students.
Education is not about earning a degree but to acquire the skill set to lead the best of our life and career. Particularly professional institutions have to be focused on teaching the curriculum prepared by the University and in addition they have to add knowledge in the contemporary professional practices of industries.
As Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) is concerned, it is a highly industry connected institution. The Chairman Mr. P. Sriram of this institute is a successful first generation entrepreneur, running multiple industries. His focus is to make the engineering students into Industry employable / Industry Ready engineers.
To enhance the students skill set in par with the present industrial requirements, CIT has established various training facilities partnering with the leading technology oriented industries of India and Abroad. Such training facilities are named as Centre of Excellence (CoE) in a particular knowledge / skill-set domain. For example CIT has established CoE in the name of “CIT – KUKA Industrial Robotics Training Centre”, partnering with a leading Robot manufacturer of German, KUKA.
Soon CIT is going to have very big training facility in major four domain areas along with the leading Chinese Tianjin University. The facilities include Robotics, NC Machines, New Energy and 3-D Printing. In this context six faculty members of CIT are undergoing training at China in their respective skill set trainings.
All the students undergoing training under the CoE are made to work with industries live projects. Many of our CoE students have given outstanding contributions to the industries with respect to research / consultancy projects. As those projects are industries current technical requirements, most of them will be implemented successfully in industries.
When students are made to work closely with the leading corporate industry, they get confidence over industry culture. They have satisfaction on successful implementing their project in globally reputed industries. Also many of them are getting paid internship during their course time itself. Those benefited organizations prefer recruiting the students rendered service to the industry in any form along with their education. Industries engross these knowledgeable professionals and enhance its production capabilities by contributing the latest technologies.
These types of industry exposure provide confident to the student to work in industries situated in any part of the globe. . Hence, CIT- Chennai Institute of Technology has established vibrant industry institute interaction to promote strong technical education in par with contemporary industrial needs.
Engineers need to display incredible creativity when confronted with the challenges of modern life. The more complexity involved in a problem, the more creativity is needed in searching for the best solution.  If you are curious about how things work and have a keen mind for applying what you learn to solve real world problems, engineering is the perfect avenue for your talents. Be prepared to dedicate years of learning and practice to master a field of engineering; don’t expect to build an A380 airbus or the next Burj Khalifa (currently the tallest building in the world) within a year of completing your degree, but trust that eventually you could work on a fulfilling and exciting project later in your career.
If you are up to this you have a great college insight of you, Chennai Institute of Technology, the place where actual engineering is taught, the place where you can become an real engineer
