On 16th Sept, I visited the pehladpur mohalla clinic.
Mohalla clinic is a new experiment of healthcare delivery by the Delhi government,and serves you at your doorsteps.
I visited the clinic as a part of my mass communication assignment.
There were 20 to 25 patients…Almost 40 patients visit everyday to the pehlapur’s mohalla clinic. And it covers almost 10 near by areas.
I asked them where did they go before this came up. One lady answered that we used to go to the government hospitals,where they used to take token and wait atleast 3 to 4 hours to see the doctor.
I asked few more people that what’s the change they feel because of the mohalla clinic…
Also I asked a 10 year old boy Raju,who was suffering from fever and he with his parents visited the mohalla clinic 3 days back and today he was feeling much better than before because of the medicines and the tests doctor has prescribed.
One of the patient said that because of these clinics they feel free and easy as they don’t have to run far in the emergency. Also some of them could not afford the fee of the private doctors.
In this clinic water was currently an Issue.
