In any cricket team’s batting order number four position is considered as the backbone for the Squad but after 2015 world cup India is struggling to find one consistent player at number four in ODI team.As top order is almost fixed for Indian team Shikhar Dhawan & Rohit Sharma in opening slot and Skipper Virat Kolhi at number three but team India has already experimented around 10 players at number four slot after twenty fifteen world cup.If we look into the list of players which are shuffled most of them are quality players in like of Yuvraj Singh , who was almost fit in that position for six to seven years and then he suffered from cancer then team India Experimented with Rahane in 2015 versus Bangladesh, MS.Dhoni several times as Versus Bangladesh in 2015 and South Africa in 2015/16 & versus NZ in 2017.Manoj Tiwary was also tried versus tour of Zimbabwe in 2015 , Virat Kohli Vs S.A 2015/16 , Manish Pandey various times Vs Aus and Zim in 2016/17 then Yuvraj singh made a comeback versus England and also in Champions Trophy at the same slot but apart from that 150 run inning he did not leave any impressive mark. K.L.Rahul versus Srilanka 2017 appeared to be promising at number four but after his injury he failed to make any comeback in ODI, India is recently trying with Hardik Pandya ,Kedar Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik but still failed to find a perfect match for that crucial position.
