Why Gujarat election is important ?

In the present Gujarat assembly the BJP has 116 seats and the congress has 57 seats out of the total 182 seats. And this time Amit Shah has announced that he and his party will target and win 150 seats in the election.
The BJP is ruling the state for the last 25 years. It has firmed it’s grip on the state and consecutively won the elections.
Gujarat election is a matter of pride for Modi and the BJP. It is believed to be the semifinal before the Lok Sabha 2019. Election will also pave a way for opposition to revive, unite and stop the unbeatable run of the BJP after the Bihar assembly election.
Rahul Gandhi is all set to take over as party president by the end of this year. What would be more appropriate than the Gujarat Assembly election to revive the party by challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in its stronghold.
The result of Gujarat election on 18 December 2017 will decide whether Modi is going to remain as strong as he is or after the economic slowdown down due to demonetization and Goods and Services Tax his image is dented and he is losing in the battle of perception.
Modi is projected as ‘Vikas Purush’ and the only leader of the contemporary Indian politics, who can make India as strong as India dreamed.
If the BJP looses in the Gujarat election, it will be a major setback for Modi and the party. Since, Gujarat is the model state, which was sell by Modi in the Lok Sabha 2014 and other elections after, that to be followed to become prosperous.
