The realisation that exams are in two days is sure to send a chill down the spine. The college-life blues fade, only to be replaced by the guilt of the time wasted at endless fresher parties, hangouts and cultural societies.
But then it isn’t too late, for your nearby photocopy shops are here to the rescue. These stores offer readings, evaluated assignments, and question banks needed to survive the dreaded examinations.
We have listed six useful photocopy shops for Delhi University students :
1. Deep Photostat (Near Patel Chest, North Campus):
Frequented by Economics and Commerce undergraduates and postgraduate students, the place provides evaluated assignments, readings, photo-stated books and question banks. The shop offers limited options for students of other streams. The photocopy shop is particularly busy this time of the year, expect a minimum wait time of 1-2 hours.
2. Hindu College Photocopy Shop (Hindu College, North Campus):
The shop has something for everyone. Compiled readings, assignments or question banks, be least assured you wouldn’t leave empty-handed. The courteous shop owners let you satisfactorily glance through the study material before purchasing.
3. Rameshwari Photocopy Service (Delhi School of Economics, North Campus):
The most sacred place for Commerce, Economics and DSE students. The shop offers readings and questions banks for all masters courses (offered at DSE) and compiled readings for undergraduates. The store also provides specialised readings for Commerce and Economics elective papers. It shuts by 5:30 pm and isn’t busy during the exam season.
4. Shri Shyam Book and Photocopy (opposite Sri Venkateshwara College, Satya Niketan, South Campus):
Not particularly fashionable in appearance, but you will find compiled readings and evaluated assignments for all undergraduate and selected postgraduate subjects. It is suggested to confirm the availability on the phone before making a trip.
5. Rinku Bhaiya Photostat (Ref-Sec, Library, Lady Shri Ram College, Lajpat Nagar, South Campus):
Find compiled readings and question bank for any subject, anytime. The photocopy shop is particularly busy a month before the exams with long waiting hours. The store is unfortunately inaccessible to outsiders. Time to find an LSR friend to rescue!
6. Indian Book Service (opposite Gargi College, South Campus):
The shop offers compiled readings and photocopied books on all undergraduate subjects. However, the store is on the more expensive end.
