Joint Entrance Exam Registration Process 2018

The year of 2017 has almost come to an end. Another batch of students is getting ready to set its best foot forward and tackle JEE MAINS 2018, hence in this article we would like to highlight some of the salient points about the exam to make the process simpler and more concise for you.

JEE Main Registration Process

The much anticipated JEE MAINS 2018 exam has been scheduled to be conducted on 8th April 2018. The application forms are expected to be released by 8th December 2017. The eligibility criteria is centered around the applicant’s nationality, age, number of times the applicant has attempted the exam, appearance in class XII (or equivalent) examination and whether or not the applicant had been admitted to any of the IITs previously. Aadhar card has been made mandatory for registration although some relaxation is likely to be given to the aspirants from Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and Meghalaya.

JEE main Admission Form are available from 1 December 2017.

The exam pattern for 2018 will remain coherent with the changes made for JEE MAINS 2017. The exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for the engineering aspirants whereas Paper 2 is for admission to undergraduate architecture courses. Paper 1 will test a candidate’s aptitude in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with 30 questions on each subject. Paper 2 will consist of 50 general aptitude questions, 2 questions for drawing test and 30 questions from Mathematics. The duration of the exam for both the papers will be 3 hours.

The results will be announced during the fourth week of April and the online registration for the counselling process will start by the third week of June for seat allocation in all participating colleges. The counselling process will consist of seven stages.
