Here I am, reached where I wanted to be. Kotra, the breath to my fellowship of 13 months. Here is where my ground is, here is where my passion got me. Can’t get breathless now. Seva Mandir, the NGO with whom I am working during my fellowship, it has such deep roots here. Everyone regards the name, Seva Mandir. Little by little, over the period of 50 years, the NGO has made a place in people’s heart. They have various units working in any block they are present at. My interest is the Education Unit. There are NFE (Non formal education) units, Shiksha Kendra’s, Youth resource centres.
There was an initiative from previous batch fellow to give trainings pertaining to sewing. This is something that can be looked into further, as a base has already been created. Apart from this, at a personal level, I want to see how many schools are present in the village, out of which how many are functional, how many aren’t. How the Shiksha kendra and the NFE can be used to create interventions for the education unit.
Today I am happy, I have more information than I had yesterday. Tomorrow, i look forward to having more.
