A few days back, this hashtag was what I saw almost all my timeline. But, to be honest, I didn’t need this hashtag to know that almost every girl or woman around me were harassed atleast once in their life time. This hashtag just told me that a little initiative can make them bold enough to come out with their stories or atleast accept that they were harassed. This shows that how little we care about the problem faced by one half of our population.
I have read a lot of comments brand in this page as ‘anti national’ or ‘feminist'(it is a matter of share , according to them) for just being liberal .
So, have we become so intolerant as a society to say that people who own a different idea are ‘anti national’? People who fight for equal rights a shame? No, we are just previleged enough to own an internet connection and impatient even to care about learning or understanding a new perspective.
Just, calm down and relax guys! You don’t have question the validity of every woman who cares to share her story of harassment. I do understand that there are fake harassment cases and that #notallmen are to be blamed. But, if you bring those topics when a girl says she is harassed, it becomes ‘whataboutery’. (whataboutery
