M 22 and doing my MBBS from BPS govt medical college, Haryana….. It is the only women’s medical college in the Asia…. Exciting? No not at all…. We are being bullied by our own college administration…. We have no idea of the funds our college receives… They say we get lots of exta-curricular activities grants and other grants…. No one bothered to tell us how much college gets and how much is spent on us…. Sports grant? Huge? Yes…. But should i tell u that our basketball grpund looks like a tropical forest…. Lots of conferences and parties? Well NO… And those that do happen are on our pockets…. Yess we pay for them…. Govt medical college means good entrance exam marks and rank?…. Yes…. Which means good scholarship and no fees.? Yea for other colleges in india… But NOT FOR US… we pay 60000 rs everyyear which does not include food uniform or books expenditure….. Good student life huh?…. Women’s medical college.. That too govt…. Must be lots of security? NO…. You cant go out after 6 pm…. You cant leave hostel after 8 pm… You cant even go to college library after 8….while other govt medical colleges students can study whole night in the library…. No knowledge of college funds…. Threats to fail you if you ask anything…. Complete loot… Why coz we are girls? Was a great initiative by govt to open a medical clg for women…. But kya faida… I dont feel empowered here…
