Why We Must Change Our Personal Habits To Beat Pollution

Pollution is one of the main problems which surrounds us in every corner of our lives, whether it is noise pollution, water pollution or air pollution. In every aspect of our lives, pollution is deteriorating our health. Not only is the common person suffering from it but it’s also affecting the rich.

The question arises – who is responsible for it? In Delhi and adjacent areas, we have witnessed smog and its bad effect on our health. According to some reports, the pollution in Delhi and its adjacent areas may have been caused by crop burning in Haryana and Punjab and also due to construction sites and vehicles.

But what I have been thinking is that even a common person  is responsible for every kind of problem in which we find ourselves entangled today. Humans are satisfying their own needs but are forgetting their responsibility towards the upcoming generation. In order to overcome these problems, we need to start with ourselves first.

As it has been rightly said, “If you want change society, change yourself first.”

So what we can do is maybe not keep our vehicles’ engines running while we are waiting for a green signal. We should also immediately stop crop burning, not only in Haryana and Punjab, but in every corner of the country. We could also try and stop construction for some period of time.
