आप बीती by “S.MANNAH”!!

Exposing the harsh realities of bollywood

Hello friends, today I am feeling a bit of nostalgic down the memory lane… I was recently thinking about that phase of my life, during my B.A. (hons.) time when I was giving my final examinations in the arts faculty hall… It was a day to remeber for all the wrong reasons… Well let me clarify to all that we all have gain experiemces somewhere or the other either good or bad ones and we are very prompt in telling that whether our experiences of our lives resides in which category, that is obviously good or bad… Well in my opinion good experiences gives us the ultimate pleasures of life but it is the bad experiences which works as the ultimate test of mankind/womankind, which builds us much more stronger & much-much more wiser than before…

Well let me share an anecdote with you’ll today as it is my own experience which happened to me when I was in my college graduation days in my B.A. (hons.) times…

It was about 10:30 p.m. onwards in the night of the wednesday. I was packing my bag for the exam which will held on the next day that is on Thursday… While I was packing my bag for the next significant day I kept my pencil-pen pouch as well as my exam wooden board and a waterbottle and not to forget my identity card, enrolment number. The last item I kept on my bag was my money purse which was a black coloured mobile as well as money and card keeping wallet…  I was mesmerised by the beauty of that simple looking purse kinda wallet. I somehow cannot remove my eyes off the purse don’t know why? but I keep staring it for no reason at all. . . I immediately Packed that up as well as it was quite late and I have to take a short quick nap before I again wake up for the exam preparations…

On the d-day itself that is on thursday I went to give the exam due to the city bus I was already 5 minutes late for the exam which is already started, so I just rushed towards the faculty hall for writing the paper but there I came to know that my roll no. onwards that is feom 18~25 girls were sotting in the room no. 111 of the arts faculty… So I lost 5 more mjnutes in reaching the room no.111… I did nit see here & there I kept my bag outside the classroom where some other bags were kept as well. I took down my enrolment no. Id card, a board and the pencil~pen pouch before entering in the classroom… In this process I forgot to get my purse cum black coloured wallet which I kept on the front chain of the bag… The exam goes fairly well as it was the toughest exam of poetry ENM 601 of the strictest teacher Mrs. Reenakshi Johnson ma’am. I came out and hesds straight out of the faculty and came near the canteen area. I stand near a tree and kept my exam question paper which was stuck on the board, pencil-pen pouch, Id Card inside the bag in the same manner again but I was shocked when I couldn’t find my wallet inside the bag I saw the whole bag especially inside the feint chain of the bag has been checked by me approximately 100 times as I am not been able to understand where the hell has my wallet gone afterall… Then I felt that maybe I have forgotten my wallet in the house inly but I still remeber that the wallet has been kept by me in the previous night by my own hands and in my own senses…

I again went upstairs to see whether I have misplaced my wallet in that place. I couldn’t trace the wallet there, so I went out of the college as in our college mobile phones are banned so I cannot bring my own mobile set, I asked some stranger to please help me as I have to make a call to my mother… The person gave me the ohone and I asked my mother whether I have forgotten my wallet on my study table or anywhere wlse in my room but she clearly told me that the black wallet is not in the house, not in the room… I was taken aback by this revelation. I again went back to the college premises and went to the examination office of the Arts Faculty I register a complaint there they told me that they cannot do anyrhung about it. I went to the library because I have lost the library card by which I want to borrow two books on Greek literature in order to make a seminar paper… The librarian head told me that I will get back my aadhar, library, atm cards near the playing ground, canteen ground sometime later as the theif will throw it back as they are not of his/her purpose and the cash will wash away is a proven fact…

Mr.Mittal the librarian head also told me that they will also have certain cards and if I wanted to check I can if any is mine but none belongs to me… I came out disheartened and frightened for a bit as I lose all my cash which is kept inside the wallet. I saw one of my friend Pooja Pal who was eatjng pattues with her friends for giving me 2 rupee coin and I will return it back to her the next day, she asks one of her friend Satakshi who give me the coin I went to the P.C.O. booth to call my sister on her mobile phone but couldn’t connect to her on the call as she didn’t receive the call… I returned the 2 rupee coin back to Pooja Pal… I went by walking on foot from Dayalbagh to Bhagwan talkies chauraha thinking about the wallet and the things inside it but all is gone now like a wind of vapour… I took a rickshaw feom the bhagwan talkies chauraha to the Gailana road Nirmal Nagar where my sister’s boutique is situate. When I reach the place I asked the rickshaw wala to wait for a while I took 40 ₹ from my sister and gave it to the ricksaw wala bhaiya womho drops me there… I narrated the whole uncidence to my sister and she said that I was looking all pale and tired which I didn’t notice up till now as I was busy searching my black wallet full of cash and cards… I came to my sisters boutique as a pauper not even a single penny is there in my bag. My sister offered me a glass of water, and then I got a glimpse of the previous night when I very admiringly watches my same now stolen black wallet gwakily which is none other than the premonition for me for the next day event which becomes my आप बीती for the lifetime…
