Digital Short Film Contest Winner: The Blind Local
The Population Foundation of India (PFI), in partnership with director Feroz Abbas Khan and Farhan Akhtar’s initiative Men Against Rape and Discrimination (MARD), is running a pilot digital campaign to end violence against women and girls, called Bas Ab Bahut Ho Gaya (Enough is Enough).
Among others, one of the major activities of the campaign was digital film contest. College students were invited to submit digital films of up to two minutes on the theme of ending violence against women and girls. More than 1,700 entries were received. A jury consisting of Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Kapur, Kiran Karnik and Feroz Abbas Khan has selected the top three films. The winners have been awarded at a recent Lalkaar concert under this campaign, in Mumbai.
