Experience of a movie

Watched Memories In March by Sanjoy Nag.

Such a fine depiction of otherwise predictable human emotions.

Bonds of undefined relationships deepen, spontaneously. It is expected that human unite in need of the hour. But how long do their relationships last? How firm they go?

Trying to get over an irreparable loss, and an incessant urge to hold onto the departed, the characters go on to discover different pieces of a human collage. An educated, progressive, confident mother, comes to terms with her son’s loss; tries to accept his controversial love interest.
A broken lover goes on to define the depth of his grief; reaches out to his beau’s beloved mother.
A friend, accepting her despair & defeat, of the loss and one-way affair, lends her hand, in the crisis.

Arati, Arnob, and Sahana form a deep bond, in the hope of support, pacification, solace, which goes on to become their mutual discovery too.

Rituparno Ghosh has done lyrics for this film. In all his expressions, he interprets love between individuals in a certain way, that all human emotions merge into it. Through his stories or songs, I think he had always tried to tell us, to not avoid the hurtful, grey emotions; but embrace, reach out to its depth and find love, and peace. It seems like he was still trying to reach the end of this equation. I feel, he was walking on the lines of Rabindranath.

You should have stood the trials of time Rituparno. You owed it to yourself; and so much to us.
I feel you were on the right path, where human emotions transcend to spirituality and stand stronger, peaceful, happier.

Rituparno, you could have held on.
