Hope for the lovers of the city.

The 1988 Company has officially launched the event, Jashn-e-Ishqa. The event would be held at IICC, Lodhi Road on 16th of February, 2018.

As the society reminisces, they talk about the good old days when everything was within certain boundaries. Love would be more of a shy affair, stolen looks and secret conversations rather than holding hands in public. The sharing of a cup of tea, stealthily going to the terrace and running away on a call.

Society often says the new generation does not understand the meaning of love. And they often disregard what the elders have to say.

When it comes to love for the younger generation, it seems something like dates, parties, PDA and other such things that the elders do not accept. More often than not, it results in a clash of ideas between the two. Neither ready to accept the other.

When it comes to the Valentine’s Day, all hell breaks loose. There are protests, morchas, walks to prevent youth from following this western culture. A shame as they feel. This has often resulted in counter events to shame the opposers.

In all this chaos and clashes, Jashn-e-Ishqa comes as a bridge between the two. The blend of modern and prominent with the old and soothing.  More than being an event, it is a ray of hope that youth can be rejoined with the culture our elders so cherish and with that elders can be exposed to some of the things inseparable for the youth. We have seen both the colours and their essence but the blend is something superior.
