Aadhar protest 2018.

Aadhar has increasingly become an essential part of the everyday life across the county.

The Unique Identification Authority of India believes that there is great potential within this identification platform to provide a legal identity for all residents as well as to improve the efficiency of government service delivery.

But aadhar has become coercive, many problems associated with aadhar like identity theft, data leak as was shown by the Tribune etc.

With the connectivity problems and biometric problems it is becoming an exclusion device.

A planned joint citizens protest happened against aadhar at parliament street from 3pm onwards on 12thbof January 2018.

Several speakers at the protest site demanded immediate stoppage of the biometric UID/AADHAR number database project.
