An open letter to Humans by India

Dear Humans,

I know that you and I have been through a lot since the past few months. I have seen protests in various states, the protests for films and much more.

I have seen people marching on the streets and using violence for gaining attention. I don’t quite have an opinion about it but what I do have, is something I want you all to listen. It is not my duty to teach you what is right and what is wrong. Although, it is my duty to make your realise that common men and women, the people which are from your very community now fears you, they are unaware of the hate that you are spreading and have no ideas how to handle it.

It disturbs the lives of people, they don’t feel like home in their own country and are afraid to go out in public places.

There are many ways to protest, violence being the worst of them. For the sole reason that you are hurting your people and sooner or later, it is going to come back to you.

As for the film fraternity; respect people’s sentiments. Take a good note of how you influence everyone around the country, specially in a country where reality shows and movies are the most common source of entertainment.

I want to end this on a good note. Remember that when we say India, we come ‘together’. Problems can be solved with lesser havoc and more understanding.

And if your actions leads to someone’s suffering, we all must have to face the consequences of your action, maybe now or maybe a little later.

Ask yourself one question first, “Is it worth the violence?” And if not, then remember that we have more in the future, than the past.

Yours,
India.
