education system crisis

education is the key to a country growth and development but if this being in crisis the whole system of development and growth led to us in veins. this being the reason for the massive gap and inequality in the societal and political sphere of India. As RTE is there still there are major loopholes which led to this education crisis.

  1. teacher-pupil ratio(TPR)-most of the schools in the least developed states have poor TPR ratio compared to the other states which led to an average of TPR remarkably low.
  2. summer education loss or summer slide-that is the tendency for students to lose some achievement gains when they are out of school during summer which is higher in case of mathematics and science. and in India, no proper lookup and comprehensive scheme present regarding this matter.
  3. comprehensive evaluation-instead of board exams comprehensive evaluation of students should be done but it was working unexpectedly poorly and the govt again follow the examination system for evaluation instead of making changes to the comprehensive evaluation system.
  4. absenteeism- along with compulsory education and high enrollment rate, the absenteeism of the student remain unaccounted and it was estimated to be high in the least developed states.
