Many of you must be wishing to get admission in IITs, NITs & CFITs to pursue your B-Tech or B-Arch Programs from these colleges. While preparing for such highly ambitious exam IIT JEE, doubts are inevitable. You also might have some doubts and questions related to the exam activities.

Surprisingly, most of the frequently asked questions about JEE Mains that are the ones which are most prominently provided on the official website of the exam as well as in its Information Brochure.

 

Ques – 1 When will JEE Mains 2018 be held?

Ans – JEE Mains 2018 offline exam will be held on 8th April 2018 whereas online will be held on 15th and 16th April 2018.

 

Ques – 2 When can we avail the JEE Mains 2018 admit card?

Ans – JEE Main Admit Card is likely to be released in the 2nd Week of March 2018.

 

Ques – 3 If one made mistakes during fill the application form then what will he/she do?

Ans – CBSE organizes the correction process for the registered candidates after completing the application submission procedure. However, the correction can be made only in some manners such as uploaded images, exam centres etc.

The correction process for JEE Mains 2018 has been started from 9th January 2018 and last date will be 22nd January 2018.

 

Ques – 4 What happens if the candidate doesn’t book the time slot for Online Based Examination?

Ans If candidate forgets to book the time slot for Computer Based Exam, then random date and time slot which one be available should be allotted to the aspirant. The details related to it will be available on the JEE Main Admit Card.

 

Ques – 5 Can an applicant have right to change the mode of exam?

Ans – Yes, candidate can change the mode of the exam only from offline to online but not vice-versa.

 

Ques – 6 If one has submitted two application forms by mistake, will he/she be issued the admit card of JEE Main 2018?

Ans – Candidate have to send an e-mail to jeemain@nic.in mentioning both the application numbers and specifying clearly the application number which they want to be considered.

Then at the time of issuing admit card, both the application form of the candidate will be merged and only one admit card will be issued.

 

Ques –  7 When will the JEE Main 2018 result be announced?

Ans – JEE Main 2018 Result of Paper-1 will be declared on the 30th April 2018. And the rank list for JEE Main Paper-2 will be released on 31st May 2018.

 

Ques – 8 Who is responsible for JEE Main 2018 Counselling and when will it start?

Ans – Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) will be organized the counselling session for JEE Main qualified candidates. JEE Main 2018 Counselling procedure will be started in 2nd week of June 2018.

 

Ques – 9 Which are the participating institutes of JEE Main 2018?

Ans – 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 CFTIs are the participating institutes of JEE Main 2018 Exam in which qualified aspirants will be able to apply for admission.

 

Ques – 10 When will the answer key of JEE Main will be released?

Ans – The answer key of JEE Main 2018 will be released in between 24th – 27th April 2018

 

Ques – 11 Can one raise objection if he/she finds any discrepancy in JEE Main 2018 answer key and if it is possible, then what is the procedure?

Ans – Yes, candidates have right to challenge the official answer key of JEE Mains 2018 it will be opened to challenges. Aspirants can submit their feedbacks online at JEE Main official website until 27th April 2018.

Candidates who want to challenge the answer key, they have to fill an online application form and pay fee INR 1000 per question.

 

Ques – 12 When will CBSE release the cutoff of JEE Main 2018?

Ans – The category-wise cut-off of JEE Mains 2018 will be released with the result of the exam.

 

Ques – 13 Is there any provision for students willing to attend for both the exams at different exam centres i.e. Paper- 1 as online and paper – 2 as offline?

Ans – As JEE Main Paper-2 is only available in offline mode. So, candidates who are applying for both have to select the exam centres that have provision for both offline and online modes. Separate admit cards for both exam will not be provided for any applicant.
