I am an ordinary citizen with expectations.Expecting new changes with the new year.Expectations not so high or as alarming as the condition of women in India.It is sad how the idea of empowering women is limited to debates and discussions , with zero conclusions.

Or you are just contended with your own life?
Well if you mind that then where is that rage which is seen after the rape victim dies?
Should we be proud that after ages of sacrifices the girl child is not murdered or rather allowed to born?
So what they are sent to school for education ? Is that getting a special privilege or a basic birth right?
So what they are permitted to pursue their dreams ? oh no! Are women even allowed to dream? That privilege is yet to come probably.
so what they get a job? Their constant struggle to break the glass ceiling is limitless.
The gender is the first criterion to judge the credibility of a person , probably even before the color..
The condition might be worse than it sounds.Even the empowered women who have got free from the clutches of patriarchy once, also need the permission of the patriarchal society to exercise their empowerment.
Empowerment of minds of the young and the old is what we need
