One Man’s Quest to Ride Across the World to Promote Peace

Summer 2017

I have been riding my bike across the world for months now. I think I must have covered over 20,000 kilometers! Feels like such a long time since I left home.

I still remember the day it all began, the day I bought my motorbike, my love. I took off to Hampi and it was one of the best experiences of my life. It was then I decided that I wanted to be a citizen of the world.

The ride has been fun but not without its lows. But I intend to keep going on…

Imagine a world without borders, where we could travel anywhere we liked, any time we liked! This is a utopian dream shared by many.

Kedarnath GM, the ‘No Country Man’ is one of the millions who share this dream. A motivational speaker, filmmaker and author, Kedarnath is also an adventure traveller with an unquenchable thirst for adventure.

He has travelled extensively in India and across international borders, passing through 13 countries including France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Italy in the cold harsh winter and covered a total distance of 20,,000 kilometres on his trusted partner, a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350cc.

His short film has even won an award for promoting world peace at the 2016 Rajasthan International Film Festival.

No Country Man is someone who belongs to this whole world rather than just one country, community, region, city, town or a village. Of course, we have many differences but we can always enjoy our differences rather than creating a chaos out of it. My talks have reached out to around 5000 students and youngsters from different schools and colleges in India and I am continuing to do that in the countries I am travelling in.

But all this travel on his trusty bike has not been without its own hardships. Like most of us, he doesn’t get to stay in a comfy hotel room with room service. He has to camp, couch surf and pray he has friends in the country he travels in. He has also fallen sick, lost a lot of weight and experienced many problems with his equipment along the way.

During my last expedition in 2013-14, I spent only 3 nights in a hotel in Iran in the total 6 months of my journey.

Even with the lows, Kedarnath is committed to ride his bike across the rest of the world.

This expedition is going to teach me a lot more than my previous expedition and I want to share it with everyone out there. The stories which will make you laugh, inspire you and may change the way you look at your life. It’s your life and you can always choose how it should be, i am experiencing it and you too could. I have started this expedition on the 8th Of August-2017 and I am currently exploring South East Asia.

The stories of people he met on his journeys has motivated him to ride further. Kedarnath aspires to spread love and peace, to taste adventure and to commune with strangers across a borderless world. Help him live his dream today!
