Pornhub 2017 Data Shows Our Obsession with ‘Indian Bhabhi’, Sunny Leone And More

Pornhub, the grand-daddy of Internet wet dreams, unleashed its vast reservoir of data for the year 2017 today. And when we say vast, whoo boy do we mean it (and that was not a euphemism). With over 28.5 billion visitors, translating into something like 50,000 searches per minute, Pornhub’s ‘2017 Year In Review’ reveals fascinating insights about the users who come to plumb its depths. And let’s just say Indian have left their mark.

So strap in ladies and gentleman (heh) because we’re in for a wild ride.

1. India climbed to the 3rd position in overall traffic, just under the United States of America and the United Kingdom

Every year, we climb a little closer to the perfect orgasm. Onwards, my brethren!

2. 86% of traffic from India is from smartphones

Not surprising, considering that India has among the fastest growing smartphone markets in the world, being the second largest just after China.


3. More than half of India’s visitors are between the ages of 18-24

Well, it would be hard for it to be otherwise, seeing that India has more millennials than the US and UK combined. Interestingly enough, the youngest country in the world (in terms of the number of youth) is something of an anomaly in this as for most other countries, the dominant age is between 25-34.

4. India is really, REALLY into MILFs

No, seriously, look.

5. Sunny Leone was the most searched for pornstar in India and 5th highest worldwide

Look, some things just are what they are, okay? The sun rises, the wind blows and Indians look for Sunny Leone online. Leone maintained her position in the top 5 for the 3rd year in the row, helped in no small part by her countrymen (and women!).


6. The ‘Indian’ category jumped to number 19, up 8 positions

We broke into the big 20s! But this development isn’t surprising either, as Pornhub noted, this jump was probably greatly helped by the increase in traffic this year (the ‘Japanese’ category also saw a jump, to number 8, with a similar increase in traffic). So, is it just Indians looking for more Indians? With over a billion of us, we can be hard to miss.

7. India’s female visitors increased the most – 129%

That sound you hear is probably patriarchy having a nervous collapse. That’s right, Indian women are thrusting their sexual desires and needs out there and there’s no ignoring them. Traffic by Indian women increased exponentially as compared to other countries, and to quote Dr. Laurie Betito, sex therapist and director of the Pornhub Sexual Wellness Center, “This is a sign of things to come.”

Two words: Fuck. Yes.


8. The ‘Arab’ category was viewed 165% more in India than elsewhere on the planet.


9. Top search words for Indians include, among others, “hd hindi video”, “indian hd sex”, “indian wife” and “indian bhabhi”

I suppose we should get points for being direct?

10. India was near the bottom with among the lowest average time per visit

Not to make any “couldn’t last long” jokes, because *8 minutes 30 seconds* (looking at you Philippines with your 13 minutes), but India has remained surprisingly consistent regarding this. While the average time per visit has gone up by 23 seconds worldwide, India’s hasn’t moved an inch. Good job sticking to your guns, I suppose.
