Post Skin Care for a flight

There’s nothing like going on a vacation, but just because you are planning to take a break, doesn’t mean you want your skin routine has to take a holiday too. Traveling on an airplane can take a huge toll on your skin leaving it dull and dry.

Aircraft cabin air is very dry as due to low humidity level, this can in turn cause our skin to become sensitive and tired quickly, but by following a few simple steps you can arrive at your destination with fabulous, glowing skin.

EAT RIGHT

Stock up on nuts, raisins, dried cranberries and apples, sip on green tea or warm water and opt for a healthy salad or fruit bowl over the in-flight cookies. Caffeine and salt are best avoided.

NO MAKEUP!

Avoid wearing makeup while on an airplane, if you absolutely cannot go stripped of all makeup; make sure to avoid any foundation or powders as they further dry the skin.

HYDRATE YOUR SKIN

The longer the flight the more frequently you should moisturize. Try the Forest Essentials Velvet Silk Body Cream Vitamin E for your hands and legs. Also be sure to dab a rich eye cream underneath your eyes as this area gets very dry. ( Quick Tip – Whenever you’re in need of a little refresh, try a spritz of facial water spray in a convenient travel size – my pick the Forest Essentials Pure Rosewater Facial Toning Mist!)

KEEP YOUR BEAUTY BAG HANDY

The maximum size, according to Indian airport security regulations is 100ml per product. Pack a small bag with all of your travel essentials; mine include the Forest Essentials Light Hydrating Facial Gel – Pure Aloe Vera and the new Ultra Nourishing Mandarin & Neem Hand and Nail Cream. Keep chapped lips at bay with the Luscious Kokum & Honey Lip Balm.

DRINK UP!

Avoid further dehydration by skipping the alcohol and caffeine and drinking lots of water. Water is KEY in keeping our bodies hydrated while flying. Many of jet lag’s symptoms (headache, irritability, upset stomach) can be avoided by controlling dehydration.

To really get your skin back in great shape, first exfoliate then moisturize from head to toe when you get to your hotel or home.

Be sure to follow these easy skin care tips while traveling. Your skin will look hydrated and refreshed, and no one will ever know that you have been on a long journey.

HAPPY TRAVELS!
