The movie is all about Rajput galore, I don’t understand why they (Karni Sena) wanted to ban it at the first place. The much hyped movie was all but a dance of pride against lust, Rajputs against the Khilijis and Bhansali against the Karnis. The magnificent sets, gallantry of the Rajputs and Ranveer’s madness makes this movie worth watching. Ranveer Singh was indeed the heart and soul of the movie. The other over shadowed characters played by Anupriya Goenka and Aditi Rao Hydari are worth mentioning as well. Coming to the glamour quotient of the movie, Deepika has done a fab job. Whereas Shahid tried his best to ape the Rajputi aan baan shaan, there was something off about him. This Bhansali Extravaganza is a perfect example of the famous saying which goes something like this- ‘Jadh, joru aur zameen ke mamle talwar ki dhaar pe hi sulajte hai (The matters of issues, wife and land disputes are solved usually solved using the edge of a sword). All in all the amount of effort they have put in portraying a 3 pages long story into 3 long hours is commendable.
