An IIM Degree might not guarantee you a Success Certificate in your Entre-journey

Some inquisitive minds SEE things as they are, and question ‘Why.’

And some others who can’t see,

Dream things that never were, and question ‘Why.’

The Entre-world is embraced with two sets of visionaries, both dangling with impairments. For the sake of analogy, one is blind physically; he cannot see the facets of the corporate world through his eyes. The other has a blurred vision even with eyes wide open; his vision is tinted with misconceptions and ignorance.

The Blind: A Conventional Wisdom Blindness

A scalable journey from scratch, in which 80% of the start-ups get busted in less than a decade is worked out on a conventional theory.

Entrepreneurship is about pushing the envelope (Evolution if you will)

DEFINING IDEA…‘It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.’∼ CHARLES DARWIN

Are we to blame the B-schools?

Sun Tzu: It’s all about fluidity

B-Schools make you rigid.

*What B schools. As businesses are fluid. You cannot use set strategies

Bed of Procrustes (Greek Myth Google)

Disclaimer: The following roadmap of entrepreneur journey contains science which is injurious for entrepreneurs; try it at your own risk.

Voila! Start a business with friends and family. Pitty sure it will save the world. The confidence boost accelerates the formulation of the plans and hiring of more minds. All ready and excited to jump off the cliff, to liberate what you started.

P.S: The entire journey, which is a common B-school approach, has been sought by many, who wanted to redo their decision of jumping even before they hit the water surface of success.

Let’s navigate through the blurredness, to make a scope for a ray of vision to enlighten the path.

# Dream Aliens, and Start Now! Don’t Wait for them to Invade…

Taming an unusual dream might make all the difference. When you start, start humble and impromptu. If you start with a vision of 50,000 employees with an intent to save planet Earth from the invasion, you would certainly end up nowhere.

Never overestimate the scales, start meekly from where you are. Initiate from whatever resources you have and improve gradually. If you get entangled in the strings of the illusion of grandeur, you will surely end up messing it all. If your product is not saving the world, it’s pointless to delay and wait for inception, rather work, work and work from now itself!

P.S.: Set goals, but practical so that you get going and not procrastinate by aiming.

# Your Excitement is Cause for your Serotonin! Don’t expect the same from others…

No matter how ‘unbelievable’, ‘Life-changing’ or ‘Jaw-dropping’ your idea is, you should never expect others to show the same level of excitement as yours. It is but natural to feel excited about your potential, but don’t get carried away with what others think.

The comparison is a human tendency to judge the viability of one’s success. People including your kith and kin will constantly compare you with others. They have a tendency of sabotaging your confidence, with doubts, sarcasm or mockery.

The Earlier you get immune to the emotional trauma, and break open the vicious cycle of negativity and assholes, the longer will you survive.

Take the Asshole Test:

  1. After talking a person do you feel oppressed, humiliated, de-energised, or belittled by the person? Do you feel worse about yourself?
  2. Does that person aim his or her venom at people who are less rather than at those people who are more powerful?

Such people are alleged Assholes. Stay Away from such Assholes!

P.S.: Apply the ‘No Asshole Rule’ in life.

#All Product and No Marketing and Sales Will make Jack’s Company dull

The product is the pivot around which the entire success journey revolves. Your passion and sleepless nights to create your product constitute just 50% of your journey. A mindboggling product may not sell like hot cakes. The bottom line is you have to adopt extensive sales and marketing tactics to compel your customers to crave for your product psychologically.

No matter, how many innovations and changes take place in the market place; you need to focus on how to channelise your resources wisely. You will be tempted by many investment prospects, but remember to stay focused on the three golden parameters of investment: Brains, Marketing and Personal Growth.

A wise investment once made for the right talent will reap returns for long. The real battle is for talent; one wrong hire works like a hole in the ship.

P.S.: It takes money to make money.

#Break the ‘Do it cause I said so’ Patriarchy rather become a Farther

In the era where you experience 10,000 years of progress in just a decade, the shackles of the leadership sins of the past need to be done away with. Be a father; nurture the emotional intelligence of your diversified workforce to emerge as leaders within themselves. The crux is grown and let grow.

A jack of all trade will confine your business, rather be a coach and give it wings to grow beyond you. Your job should be to set a game plan, be a perfect talent broker, bring them together, train and equip them to perform and lastly, get out of their way. Your bit is over, let them fly where the sky is the limit.

P.S.: Set out to make a difference, it is never about the Role, rather the Goal

# The more you happen to run into a wall, the more you are forced to go in the right direction.

Failure in the road of success is as definite as it is for the for the sun to set once it rises. Success and failure work on a principle of duality. Failures are a progression towards success, until you don’t challenge your limits and fall, you are stuck on a moderate level of success.

When you fall, celebrate! You have grown. Get up, don’t cry rather invest your time in learning and growing, seek insights and inspirations which will help you reach new ceilings. Read books, watch videos and seminars which will help you grow beyond your current level.

Though one can never pay much to rent someone’s brain to gain their experience, yet every problem has a solution. Someone has already devoted his or her life to it, he or she have explored and returned safely. So save your time, effort and resources by not dreaming new ways to the problem. Their expertise might run your business.

P.S.: Don’t Boast, Success is simply a matter of Luck!, ask failure

Don’t imitate a blind, well this was just a piece of advice. The quality of any advice anyone has to offer is measured against the quality of life they actually lead.
